We are very proud to announce that the Cosling Configurator Service, integrated into the Lino® Hub platform, has been selected as a key component of the FORnanoSatellites project, a consortium bringing together several academic institutions and industrial companies under the auspices of Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
The project aims to launch series production of nanosatellites, miniaturized satellites the size of a shoebox, but with very important applications (telecom, Earth observation, navigation, etc.).
Thanks to our configurator, SMEs will be able to configure custom satellites with an optimized process – from order to delivery – while maintaining consistency down to the production machines.
Our solution will initially be used in SaaS and on-premise mode, to adapt to the varied needs of space sector players.
Furthermore, we are contributing to advancing the concept of generic 3D digital twin: real-time 3D CAD visualization in the browser, component modularity, standardized reuse...
Lino GmbH, with over 18 years of expertise in automation and software configuration, brings its know-how to adapt its platform for aerospace. Among the partners of the "knowledge-based web configurator" sub-project are researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAPS), the University of Würzburg, and Zentrum für Telematik.
Dr. Ing. Rüdiger Dehn, Managing Director of Lino GmbH, states:
"We see this project as an exceptional opportunity to test and develop technological concepts under demanding conditions, and to innovate for the space sector."
Jean-Guillaume Fages, CEO of Cosling, adds:
"Our partnership with Lino has been built over several years on a shared vision: making the configuration of complex systems simple, reliable and accessible. Being involved in this space project confirms the maturity of our technology and the quality of our collaboration."
