Cosling has given a presentation about Constraint Programming at the
Journées Franciliennes de Recherche Opérationnelle conference.
Summary: Constraint Programming is a powerful tool that enables to solve complex problems by using filtering and exploration techniques. In this talk, we introduce the main exploration techniques, in order to arouse new contributions involving both Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence. We present generic and dedicated heuristics, but also local search hybrids. These concepts will be illustrated through examples based on Choco Solver, which is a very nice framework for both AI and OR communities to integrate algorithms.
